Vive Cosmos: The New VR Headset from Vive
The newest headset from Vive seeks to be the top headset in the market. Previous sets from many different manufacturers haven’t been the most flexible, but this one claims it will have the most options to flex to your VR needs. The new display is super clear with claims of minimal “screen door effect” – when the grid of pixels becomes visible to the users. The system also has an innovative tracking system that makes interactions the most realistic yet. The set basically works out of the box meaning that there is no time consuming set up to delay your joy once you’ve bought your new toy.
There are some features that make this set great for porn watchers. First of all is the convenient flip-up eye covering. If you hear someone coming into the room you can just flip it up to see who it is and get a quick visual on your real world situation. The headset is comfortable with breathable padding in all the right places for those particularly long masturbation sessions. Mac fans will be disappointed that this is a PC based system, but it’s a robust one. While there aren’t many details about what this feature means exactly, Vive says the device is modular so it will update as technology changes, meaning it could be a good investment on a long term scale.
There’s no official release date, but experts predict the device will be out in the 2nd half of 2019. No price point has been released yet either, but the HTC Vive, the company’s other high end, popular headset, comes in at $799. It is one of the more expensive headsets out there, but fans of the genre insist that it is worth it. Keep this one on your radar for this year!
