Samsung Gear VR Works With Latest Samsung Phone

Samsung Gear VR was assumed to be toast. That’s because it was released in 2017 and two years ago is basically ancient times when it comes to technology. However, now it has basically been resurrected from the dead because the Samsung Galaxy 10, the company’s new phone, is reported to be compatible with the headset. Gear VR will now come with an adapter to work with the new device, and those who already own it can get the adapter separately.

Some experts think that virtual reality is not taking off the way that they expected to, but the most recent data is showing that the virtual reality “lag” is over! They wondered if Samsung was going to ditch virtual reality altogether, but this is a sign that while they are not really developing new VR products at the moment, they are still focused on making the most of what they have in the arena. If you have a Samsung Gear VR, you may have contact the company to get your adapter when you upgrade your phone.

If you have a Samsung Gear VR and you are obsessed with always having the latest and greatest virtual reality headset, then you must be able to be flexible and consider switching to another company who has kept up with making new headsets. Samsung may have one in the works but it doesn’t seem to be near release as nothing has been announced. Other options for newer headsets include Oculus Go and Sony’s PlayStation VR headset.
