Tony Robbins On VR – The Next Big Disruptor
Tony Robbins is known for many things, from motivational speaking to business investment. People come from all over the world to his sell-out seminars to listen to his advice and he’s now touting virtual reality as the next big game changer for business.
Robbins has been a proponent of virtual reality since the 1990s, but the technology was never able to keep up with the needs of the consumer…until now. Robbins details an experience where he used a VR headset to experience being in the front row of a sports game.
He said it felt just like he was there. And with the release of the Oculus Go earlier in the year and their Oculus Events app now you can experience for yourself what he’s talking about. The list below details some of the key sporting events they’ve already broadcast in VR this year and NextVR is picking up the mantle in terms of NBA games.
That immersion and transportation to another time and place is what has been the biggest change in VR. Some consider VR as more of a novelty, but it has the potential to change how everyone does business by giving them an almost ‘real’ experience. The opportunities for training, learning and development are boundless if the right content can be created to support. Check out how Walmart are using it to train new employees below:
